Young artists today are surrounded by visual inspiration—from anime and gaming to social media and online illustration. They are eager to draw, but often need the foundational knowledge to understand and recreate what they see.
Our program recognizes these changing interests and has evolved to meet them. While the studio originally included traditional painting, our curriculum has increasingly focused on drawing and illustration—the foundation that allows students to confidently explore the subjects they love.
At the heart of our program is our Signature Drawing Methodology—a distinctive instructional framework developed in our studio. Students learn to break a subject into manageable steps, identify key points and proportions, establish relationships and structure, and gradually build the drawing before adding detail and colour.
Our Distinctive Advantage
What sets our program apart is the combination of our unique structured drawing methodology, individualized instruction, and an efficient studio approach. Our materials allow students to work continuously, without the preparation, drying time, and cleanup associated with acrylics and oil paints.
This means more of each 90-minute session can be devoted to demonstration, individual coaching, practice, and refinement.
For parents, this means their child receives more focused instruction, more individual attention, and more opportunities to practice meaningful techniques during every lesson. Time in the studio is spent actively learning and creating, allowing students to steadily build confidence and see their abilities grow.
Private Lesson Planning
Our studio understands that every student has unique interests and individual goals in what they enjoy drawing and illustrating. Within our intimate studio setting, the instructor mentors each student individually, taking the time to understand their interests, abilities, and level of comprehension.
Each student’s lessons are then individually planned and prepared by the instructor, with projects selected and structured with the appropriate scaffolding specifically for that student. This personalized approach allows students to develop their skills while working on subjects that genuinely interest and motivate them.
Students alternate between focused drawing exercises that develop essential foundations—including scale and proportion, value and shading, perspective, form, and spatial awareness—and carefully planned projects that apply these skills through color illustration.
This means that students are not simply following a standard class project. Their learning path is personally prepared and guided by the instructor.
